8 Programming Lessons I wish I had learned sooner

  1. Never catch what you can’t handle.
  2. Simpler is usually better.
  3. Build for now, not later. Later never comes.
  4. Readable code is self-commenting.
  5. The problem is normally between your keyboard and chair.
  6. Machines are deterministic.
  7. Never be dogmatic.
  8. There will always be someone better than you.
